Well, that was interesting. No, really, it was. I’m just trying to process how I feel about the book. I didn’t hate it, but I most certainly didn’t love it. That’s not Hay in my Hair is about a girl who moves from New York City to Texas. That’s a huge change considering she’ll now be living on a farm; taking care of animals she’d never thought she’d ever have to take care of.

This is a story about personal growth and character development. At least, that’s what I think it was supposed to be about. I just can’t help but wonder if the book is supposed to be for a younger audience. I may not have been the right demographic when it came to this. I did like the way Juliette interacted with animals, it shows her in a good light. Juliette is a good enough female lead, I just wish I could have gotten to know her more on a personal level.

Overall, this is an okay book. It’s one that you read but it’s not memorable in the least.
