Ted the Friendly Frog and the Tale of the Diamond
Ted is a frog that lives by a pond. He loves to play in the pond with his friends. One day, Ted’s grandfather tells him that he’s going on a trip, and he has a jewel that he wants Ted to watch over. He said Ted could not play with the diamond around his friends. Ted watches the stone at home as he was asked to do, but Ted quickly grows bored of sitting at home alone. So when his friend Mark comes over to visit, Ted decides to show Mark the stone.
The two friends then decide to show the diamond to their other friends at the pond, but then a crane picks up the diamond with its beak and flies away. He drops the stone in the pond, and it sinks! Will Ted get the jewel back before his grandfather discovers his huge mistake? Will Ted learn his lesson about playing with valuable items?
I like this book because the pictures are very colorful, and the characters are cute. I also enjoyed how the story was written in rhyme. This was a fun story to read with a good moral.
