Swimming with Faith: The Missy Franklin Story
This book is all about the story of Missy Franklin. Missy Franklin is the main character in this book. This book is a story unlike some of the other books I have reviewed. But this book is a TRUE story! This book is all about Missy’s life swimming. Missy is a swimmer and her first swim club was Heritage Green Gators. This is a really great book that tells how Missy worked very hard to achieve her goals. She won gold medals at the Olympics! But, most importantly, “Missy the Missile” has been true to God and has used her faith and her commitment to God and hard work to be a witness to others. One of the things that I liked about this book was how it included short sections with specific information about something related to Missy’s life or to swimming. For example, in the fourteenth chapter there is a section containing facts about the University of California at Berkeley where Missy went to college. There is also a section in the fifteenth chapter about how Missy shares her faith in God through social media. This book would be great for girls who love to swim.
