Superheroes Don’t Eat Veggie Burgers is about a magical kid named Charlie Burger who has a journal that is a catalyst for his magic powers. He writes things, and they come true. Fortunately, he uses his power for good against bullies. There are a few bullies in the book, but the main antagonist/bully is Boomer Bodbreath. He is the resident bully at the school. He bullies everyone, but he bullies Charlie the most. There is a good plot twist involving Boomer that I really liked.

My favorite parts of the book were when Charlie wrote about Dude Explodius, an interesting superhero with awesome superpowers like Superpower #34, inhuman reflexes. I also liked when he used his magic to stop bullies, like when he gave his mean soccer coach a very, very high-pitched voice. It was funny to imagine the gruff, manly soccer coach with a high pitched voice!

Anyone who is looking for a good read that isn’t too long will like this book. And since many people have experience with bullies, they can relate to this book and learn that even bad people have some good in them and can change.
