Supergirl at Super Hero High
One minute, Kara Zor-El is making a birthday card for her mother. And then? She is flying in a spacecraft toward Earth. Next, she is renamed Supergirl and is a student at Superhero High, a school for super teens. She has many friends, but she struggles to control the new powers she gained under Earth’s sun. Can Supergirl trust herself and control her powers enough to defeat the invading villains?
This book from DC Comics is truly remarkable. I like seeing all of today’s superheroes but young. I love Supergirl’s character. She is energetic, loveable, and always trying to do her best and make friends. But she doesn’t realize how powerful she is. She is the most powerful teen in the galaxy but she can’t control her powers. She’s one of those people that when she falls down, she just gets back up and starts running again. I also like the costumes. There’s a class called Intro to Super Suits that I love because Supergirl describes why her costume is important to her. Whether you’re a superhero or not, you will love this book!
