It tells about a family’s summertime fun and how everybody is so excited for this time of year. It kind of reads like a poem and a love letter mixed into one. Summer’s Call: A Michigan Day is a short story, very quick to read, so it will hold the attention of even the youngest readers. The drawings are beautiful and sweet of the little family. They’re just detailed enough that you can enjoy all the details but they don’t look too busy.
