Stop, Thief!

Max is the dog. The farmer wants Max to find the thief that’s stealing the beans, cherries, carrots,and berries. So Max runs to the carrot field and he finds a little blue bug. He thinks that must be the thief! Then he meets the bunny, who is eating the carrots. The bunny tells him to chase the thief! Then he chases the bug to the berry patch, where he meets the pig. The pig is eating the berries, but she tells Max to go chase the thief, too! Billy the goat is in the bean patch, and the crows are eating the cherries. All the animals are worried that the thief is going to steal their food. So Max scares the bug away, and goes to tell the farmer. When he is gone, the other animals eat all the food!

I like this book and it is funny because Max is silly because he’s chasing the wrong thief! The farmer says the food belongs to him, but the animals think the food is theirs, so they eat all the food. Max thought the thief was the bug, but the bug wasn’t really eating all the food!
