Stinky and Successful: The Riot Brothers Never Stop
This book is about two brothers named Wilbur and Orville Riot. That is actually their last name! They have a secret Riot brother mission every day. At the beginning, their mission is to rescue a damsel in distress. The first “damsel” is Margaret Lew, who is carrying her trombone case. When Orville tries to carry the case for Margaret, he drops it on her foot!
Another of their missions is fooling their mom for April Fool’s Day. Orville gets a paint brush and some paint, and Wilbur tells his mom that Orville is painting his spelling words on the ceiling! He wasn’t actually doing that, but it was funny!
In general, the brothers are always on a mission that ends in disaster, or at least extreme silliness. The illustrations are funny, too, and add to the silliness of the stories. The brothers’ antics are hilarious. I liked that the boys are always up to no good and that they always seem to have a good time. Although they are pretty good at being sneaky, they can never fool their mom. This is an entertaining book!
