Stinkiest!: 20 Smelly Animals
This amazing fact book is about the stinkiest animals and what they use their smells for. We’ve all heard of the skunk. But did you know that the whiptailed scorpion sprays strong smelling vinegar to defend himself? Or that ring-tailed lemurs stink-fight by rubbing foul-smelling fluid on their long, striped tails and flicking it at each other? These and 18 equally surprising cases are all in Stinkiest!
This book is the fourth in the Extreme Animals series, so if you like it, you can read the other books too, like Trickiest, Deadliest, and Speediest. I loved Trickiest and can’t wait to read the others. This book is interesting and informative for all ages but would be good for smaller kids because it has shorter words. The words highlighted in blue can be found in the glossary at the back of the book. I like the illustrations because if you look closely, it looks like tissue paper, felt, and other textured materials are on the paper. If you like learning about animal abilities, you definitely need this book.
