Stick Cat: Two Catch a Thief
Stick Cat and his friend Edith are trying to catch a thief who Edith called Tuna Todd. The book starts off with Edith getting stuck in the wall (again)! Of course, Stick Cat got her out of the situation. After being stuck in the wall, Edith and Stick Cat hear a weird noise coming from the attic. Edith comes up with some crazy ideas as to what she imagines is in the attic, including an elephant and Santa. Stick Cat knows that Edith is wrong, but he doesn’t know what it could be–until they see a man’s body, and they realize there is a robber in the attic.
The friends decide to try to trick the thief, and Edith lays out some tuna and it works. Edith nicknames the man Tuna Todd. Stick Cat feels that there is something fishy going on with that man, and that is when the real adventure begins.
I enjoyed reading this book; however, I didn’t understand the purpose of introducing the thief character into a series that is mainly based on the two characters of Edith and Stick Cat. It seemed strange that these characters would need to defeat a robber.
