Star Wars ABC-3PO: Alphabet Book
This book is all about the alphabet but in Star Wars style. This book is not really a story but uses Star Wars characters to represent each one of the letters of the alphabet. For example, to represent the letter “M,” the authors used the Millennium Falcon, which was Han Solo’s space ship and which showed up in several Star Wars movies. The authors give a brief description of each one of the characters from the movies, but they did this in poetry form. The characters chosen come from all of the Star Wars movies, from the first one (with Obi-Wan Kenobi) to “The Force Awakens” (with Rey). The illustrations in this book aren’t actual pictures, but are more like drawings that represent Star Wars characters. My favorite Star Wars character is Princess Leia, because she’s a girl who is courageous like me! She also represents the letter “L.” I liked how the author wrote “Meanwhile, in a palace fine, did Leia grow up in hiding.” I think this book would be appropriate for younger kids who really love Star Wars.
