Star vs. the Forces of Evil The Magic Book of Spells
Star vs. the Forces of Evil: The Magic Book of Spells is a book about (you guessed it) spells. The queens who write the spells have surprising and fascinating names: Skywynne, Jushtin the Uncalculated, Solaria, Eclipsa, Festivia the Fun, Dirhhennia the Heaped, Crescenta the Eager, King Glossaryck, Rhina the Riddled, Celena the Shy, Estrella the Drafted, Comet the Chef, Moon the Undaunted, and Star. The queens and Glossaryck all live in Mewni. Skywynne is “home of the Warnicorn Stampede,” Jushtin was a “poor kid,” Solaria is “war, annihilation, she kinda scares me.” This book is like an encyclopedia of spells and queens. It’s based on the TV show “Star vs. the Forces of Evil,” so kids who like that show will be interested because it is a good reference. I like the design of the book – it looks like something a kid would want to pick up and read! There are pictures that are interesting but also a little dark. I think people who like Star vs. the Forces of Evil and/or like dark illustrations would enjoy this book.
