Squirrel and Bird seem to be just one way, but what we quickly find out is that they have many other sides to their personality than just what the narrator is saying. Bird wants everyone to know she is many things, and that there is so much more to her than what meets the eye.
Squirrel and Bird is the perfect example of why people should not make assumptions on others just based on a few interactions.
I like the yellow/gold/black/gray color scheme in the illustrations. I think this book is very fun book to cozy up with for Autumn. This was a fun book to read and had a really great lesson on how one should always give others a chance to be whatever they want to be.
