Splat the Cat: I Scream for Ice Cream

Splat the Cat and his friends were going to the ice cream factory, because they wanted to learn how ice cream was made. Mr. Jellybean told them that ice cream was made from milk from cows, which is put into a freezer, and then it comes out and then it’s ice cream. But the friends didn’t care about this, because they just wanted to eat the ice cream! Then Splat leaned against a big red button, and a big wave of ice cream came out!

They tried to get rid of the ice cream, but they couldn’t, so they eat and eat it, and then they finally cleaned everything. But then they couldn’t find Seymour the mouse! Then a blob of whipped cream fell onto Splat’s head, and there was Seymour! He was eating some whipped cream – his mouth was too full of whipped cream to say anything!

What I like about the book is that they all learned how to not eat so much ice cream! The pictures are very funny, and I like it because it has lots of ice cream in it and I like ice cream, although I learned not to eat so much!
