Sparky!
Have you ever wanted a pet but your mother told you couldn’t have one? Well persistence pays off in this story. The little girl in this story wouldn’t give up on the idea of getting a pet, finally her mother said as long as she found a pet you didn’t have to feed, walk, or bathe. This little girl found the perfect pet for her and her mom, a sloth she named Sparky. Sloths are very lazy and they like to sleep A LOT. The little girl wanted to prove to her friend, Mary Potts that her sloth could do tricks. So the little girl trained Sparky for a whole week and had a Trained Sloth Extravaganza. Sparky could play dead but he couldn’t roll over or speak. Even though no one was really impressed, the little girl still found ways to have fun with Sparky. My favorite part was when the girl put up the Trained Sloth Extravaganza sign and realized she should have said the sloth can do one trick, not countless tricks. I thought this book was very funny. If you read it you might laugh so hard you might cry. I would tell my friends to read it.
