Description
I am a fan of solve-your-own-mystery books, but my experience with them, so far, has been ones shorter in length and sometimes are picture books, so reading The Time Thief was longer than I’m used to, but it offered many good things within the story that wouldn’t work in a shorter book. The Time Thief follows you, the reader, as the assistant to Klaus, a private investigator, who is also a Yeti. Together, you work in a shady part of town, solving crimes, among all the mystical, magical, mythical, and unusual creatures that, if you enjoy, you will love reading about throughout this mystery. A time-stopping sponge has been stolen, and you have to figure out who the thief is before they stop time and alter everything!
I enjoyed this book because the chapters aren’t too long, and they offer options where I want to take the story next, as the assistant. There are quite a few names throughout the book, which confused me at times; however, by the end, I loved that the mystery was solved. I also enjoyed that there are no dead ends, so you can always find a path to reach the end.
