Snow White and the 77 Dwarfs

In the book, Snow White and the 77 Dwarfs, there are 77 dwarfs instead of seven. Snow White has to do their laundry and brush their beards. She has to tell them each their own bedtime story, too. She has to serve them all their meals, by herself. Snow White is too tired after packing 77 lunches and making 77 dinners. She has trouble doing the dishes and none of the dwarfs help her. The dwarfs are really noisy. Snow White goes to sleep in the forest for a long time. She doesn’t want anyone to wake her up.

The changes I would make to the book are that I would add the beginning of the Snow White story to this book. I also wouldn’t make Snow White leave the dwarfs. She should stay with them and they should help her work. It was funny to see the big pile of dishes to wash. My favorite part is when she asks them to help with the dishes and the dwarfs all leave. One thing that I find strange in this book is that it doesn’t tell us how she got her bed in the forest.

Kids who like Snow White and other fairy tales might like this book. It’s fun to read about fairy tales that are not right.
