Snap Decision (Game Face)
This is a great book for any kid who likes sports, football in particular. But it is also a great book about what it means to be a true friend and teammate. Two close friends end up getting to play Varsity football together when they are only in 8th grade. Everything is going great until one of the friends has a hard hit and has a concussion from the hit. The other friend is the only one there right after the hit and knows how bad the hit was. Their friendship is tested and this story shows how important it is to do the right thing and the true meaning of being a good friend. I know a lot about football so I loved how much of the story had the play by play accounts of the team’s wins and losses. The books did leave me wondering about the sister’s nightmare. I wish the author would have given more details about that. I did love how the book talked about God and had a Christian moral to it. I thought this book was great and I would tell my friends to read it too.
