Sled Dog School
Matt is happiest when racing his sled dog team or playing with the dogs with whom he has a strong bond. But when he finds out that his math grade is not good and his teacher assigns a special project to help him raise his math grade, he caves in, and Matt’s Sled Dog School is born. But soon after kids start signing up he discovers that managing a business is not easy. Can Matt do well in his business and raise his math grade at the same time?
I really enjoy how Terry Lynn Johnson wrote Sled Dog School with smooth action and plot. She knows when to rise the action and when it should subside. Matt is a very interesting character and develops a lot as the book goes on. The only thing that the author should work on is not having the dogs’ names be so many. There are also a lot of funny moments, and I mean a lot! This book would be good for kids ages 8-12 who like dogs and funny books.
