Sisters of Blood and Spirit
I loved this, I really did, but I feel like there was something missing. Sisters of Blood and Spirit is a mix between Supernatural and Ghostbusters. Lark and Wren are twin sisters. One is alive while the other is dead. Yes, she’s a ghost only Lark can see! Lark is a bit of loner since the whole town thinks she’s crazy. Then, a boy that saved Lark when she tried to commit suicide needs help in saving him and his friends; well, let’s just say that Lark isn’t a loner anymore. The whole paranormal aspect is what had me interested from the start, but then it just ended. I feel it wasn’t completely over yet. The romance was a little weird. Such as, in the beginning you think Lark is interested in one boy but in the end, she ends up with a totally different boy. It seemed out of left field and awkward. This is my first venture into a Cross novel but it won’t be my last. I enjoyed her writing and I think her characters are witty and fun. I’m thinking anyone who loves paranormal and ghost stories will love this one!
