Shhh…God is in the Silence is a very short story about how God lives in each and every one of us and how much he really loves us. The story is meant to share all the ways we know that God is with us, and I like the lesson it gives, but the story was very short and super simple. The book was too small to really grab and keep my attention, and I think it would be better suited for very young children, ages two and younger.
The illustrations are okay, but this is not a book that I would read over and over again as it is very basic and super short. The strength of the story is the lesson that it teaches: that God is always with us. Try it for your young child, a little brother or sister, and remind them that if they’re quiet and listen, they can always hear God in the silence.
