Sherlock Sam and the Missing Heirloom in Katong: book one
Sherlock Sam and the Missing Heirloom in Katong: Book One is a fun book. Sherlock Sam is a kid detective with a sidekick robot named Watson. Obviously, it is a kid version of the classic Sherlock tale. I love Sherlock tales and all mysteries in general. I have read some other kid versions of Sherlock Holmes, and I was not sure what I would think of this one. In this book, Sherlock Sam is trying to find a very special cookbook that was lost. He cannot eat one of his favorite foods until he finds the missing book! I would want to find that book, too!
I really like Sherlock Sam, but Watson is really funny. I thought he was one of the best parts of the book, and I could not wait to see what he would say about their experiences. He is a robot, so he does not have the same ideas or way of talking as a human. The little phrases he says are totally funny. He is often sarcastic.
The book overall is fun and a little silly. The story is interesting to follow, and I was never bored. I would recommend it for anyone who likes a fun mystery or sassy robots.
