Sheriff Callie’s Wild West Toby Braves the Bully
In Toby Braves the Bully, there is a problem in Nice and Friendly Corners. There is a new bulldog names Bradley, and he is not being nice. Toby the Cactus is delivering the newspapers, and Bradley is ruining Toby’s job. Toby can not do his job because of what Bradley is doing. Toby keeps telling Bradley, “That’s not nice.” Bradley keeps being mean. Bradley scatters Toby’s papers and takes Toby’s scooter. Toby doesn’t have time to do his job because Bradley was creating a mess. Toby stands up and tells Bradley what he wants Bradley to stop doing. Bradley says, “Sorry.” Bradley gives back the scooter and Bradley helps Toby deliver the newspapers. Bradley and Toby become friends.
I like that Toby did the right thing to stand up with how he felt. Young kids might like this book because it is interesting to see what happens in the story. The foldout pages are fun. It teaches a good lesson of standing up for how you feel.
