Sheriff Callie’s Wild West Peck’s Trail Mix Mix-Up: Level Pre-1 (World of Reading)

In Peck’s Trail Mix Mix-up, Peck gets a new bag of trail mix which is his favorite snack. He accidentally ripped the bag open with his deputy badge. He helps around town. Peck’s bag of trail mix is leaking the whole time, but Peck doesn’t know it is leaking. Whenever he gets back to the jailhouse, his bag is half empty. Peck wants to know who is taking his trail mix. He starts following the trail from his bag that was leaking. He checks everywhere he went. Peck sets a trap to find the thief. Sheriff Callie notices the hole in the bag, but Peck has her and Toby go outside. He stays inside and hides. He hears a tapping noise from his trail mix spilling onto the floor. The trap only catches Peck. Sheriff Callie and Toby help him out of his trap that he made. Sheriff Callie shows Peck the hole in the bag that has been leaking. Peak apologizes and gets an enormous bag of trail mix and shares with his friends. Sheriff Callie fans may like this book because it teaches a lesson that you shouldn’t blame other people for something that you don’t know if they did or not.
