Description

Shadow Reaper is an amazing start to a new fantasy duology. The story follows Viridia Solace, a skilled reaper hunter determined to stop the dangerous Reaper Priest, the man responsible for her parents’ deaths. When she is forced to work with Reeve Ashton, the captured Reaper Priest’s right-hand man and criminal, she finds herself caught in a dangerous mission that could save her city.

I loved how fast-paced the book was. There was always something happening, whether it was action or unexpected twists. There was also romance between Viri and Reeve, which was one of my favorite parts because their relationship developed naturally and kept me invested in the story. The storyline was also really interesting. The blackmist, the reapers, and the magic system made the setting feel unique and exciting. The found family dynamic added heart to the story, and the characters were easy to care about.

Overall, Shadow Reaper was a thrilling read with great characters, high stakes, and plenty of surprises. I couldn’t put it down and would definitely recommend it to young adult fantasy fans. I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars; it’s a great read and truly had me hooked from the start.
