Shadow Chasers
People are chasing shadows to catch them, but they see that they aren’t really there. They see shadows swimming and diving into a different world, until they are out of sight. In this book there are two girls and a boy. It is evening, then it turns to night. They go into the forest and they see shadows of bunnies, bears, and other wild animals. Some of those animals are really there, but some are just shadows. There is a shadow of a deer, but it was just made by the girls, and the shadow of a bunny that was made by two fern leaves and a rock. They go to a lake and then they see shadows swimming and diving into another world. Then it turns to nighttime and then they go home. Then in the very early morning, when they wake up, the shadow is there.
I like this book. I like the beautiful colors in the pictures and I like finding the shadow pictures. My favorite picture is the very front one; it is of three children running on green grass with their hair blowing in the wind, and there are birds and trees and the shadows of the children.
