Set Fire to the Gods
Set Fire to the Gods is the story of two teenagers who have both had to endure some difficult challenges in their young lives. Ash is descended from a long line of gladiators and her mother was killed in a gladiator fight, which has fueled her need to seek revenge. Madoc has spent his life fighting on the streets in a struggle to survive. Yet, he carries a secret with him. As their paths cross and they have to work together, they end up taking on a lot more than they expected. To find out what happens with Ash and Madoc, you will need to read Set Fire to the Gods.
This book was not my favorite. There was a lot going on in the story and, at times, I was confused by it all. It was difficult for me to read this book even though I usually love books about elemental powers and Greek mythology. I think that Set Fire to the Gods would be better enjoyed by older children aged 15 to 19 who enjoy fantasy and battles for the fate of the world.
