Santa Bruce
Santa Bruce by Ryan T. Higgins is about a bear named Bruce who likes sleeping. But it’s Christmastime, so he has to celebrate Christmas. The other animals thought he was Santa because he was dressed like Santa in a red suit. Bruce had to give presents to everybody, and he had a sleigh, and the geese were reindeer. Since Bruce was Santa, he hopped on the sleigh, but he weighed so much, the geese couldn’t hold it. So the geese and the mice hopped on, and Bruce was going to drive there. Then they had a big feast, and then Bruce was going to sleep till next Christmas.
I liked the book because I liked the storyline–it was funny and clever. The book was all Christmas themed. It was funny how all the animals thought Bruce was Santa. I liked the mice because they were funny too. The sled part was my favorite part because it was funny that Bruce had to carry all the stuff. I’ve read other books by Ryan T. Higgins, and all his books are very cute and funny. If you like this story, you should read Be Quiet, Mother Bruce, and Wilfred. The mice in Be Quiet are so funny!
