Do you ever wonder how pickles are made? Meet Sandor Katz, a man who loves fermented foods, plants, and nature. When Sandor moves to the country, he starts gardening and traveling to other places so he can learn about different cultures uses of pickling. Still curious? Read the book and find out more!

This book was both educational and delicious. I’ve always wondered about pickles until I read this book. Reading this made me want to eat more pickles. It also made me want to try different types of fermented foods, like kimchi and kombucha. The story was very smooth, and the afterword was inspiring.

The art was okay, but the food was well drawn. I liked the part when Sandor wore different aprons based on what he’s doing to the pickles. It was nice that they gave a recipe on how to make kraut-chi (sauerkraut + kimchi) at the end of the book. I personally recommend Sandor Katz and the Tiny Wild to people who want to learn about pickling and fermented foods.
