This book is about Sybil who is a squirrel and her father. Her father liked to boast about his daughter and would tell how she could turn acorns into gold. But that was not true! Now Sybil had a problem. The king thinks she can turn acorns into gold but she can’t do that at all. The king tells Sybil, “If you turn these acorns into gold by morning you may marry my son, the prince. But if you fail, I will chop off your beautiful bushy tail.” Rumplesnakeskin is going to help her if she gives him things like her necklace, her ring, and her baby. This story is just like the fairy tale called Rumplestiltskin. It is funny because this version has a snake and a squirrel instead of people. The pictures look interesting and they help tell the story. My favorite part is when Sybil’s father liked to boast about her because that is what made the story happen. Kids who like to read and pretend fairy tales will like this book.
