This book is all about reptiles and amphibians in North America. This book is full of information, which is perfect because we live in the salamander capital of North America. This book is very helpful for beginners or those who want to learn more in detail about reptiles or amphibians. Most importantly, this book has a page on what we can do to help conserve these wondrous creatures.
I think this would be a great book to take on hikes to help identify some of the amphibians we find in the Appalachian Mountains. I really enjoy reading all the informative pieces, but I also like the life-like color illustrations of the reptiles and amphibians. I would love to see more books like this, but with birds/mammals/other animals.
