Remnants: Season of Wonder (The Remnants Series)
Dri is a Remnant, a special warrior called of the Maker. Her Knight, Ronan, is sworn to protect her. Dri and Ronan have been training their entire seventeen years of life, so when they feel the Call (all Remnants and Knights get it), they know what to do. Once inside the Citadel, they meet up with other Remnants and Knights, and are tasked with finding a Healer, a Seer, and several others. The team sets out and must fight against Sheolites (the dark side), Drifters, and slavers to complete their task. And that’s not all! Dri feels strong attraction to Ronan, but doesn’t know if he feels the same. Besides, marriage is forbidden to Remnants and Knights. Will Dri be able to save the world, or even just her friends?
I like the hopeful atmosphere and powers this book presents. I recommend it to people thirteen and over, because of the length and (minimal) romance. I like that Dri was normally cool-headed and logical, and when she lost her cool, it was for a very good reason.
