Pursued
Axel and Daisha have two “geoports,” geological transportation, where they press in the coordinates and get teleported to that place. They are running from a very rich professor who wants to get the geoports. They are trying to get the geoports to the mysterious Magnus Solis that their parents told them about before the pursuers killed them. Using the geoports, they travel around the world with the professor’s henchmen in pursuit.
This book is very exciting to read because Axel and Daisha are constantly running, and you always feel like they are just about to get caught. It is kind of mysterious at the end when they figure out what the Magnus Solis is and it gets into this whole destiny thing. One thing that was kind of frustrating was they go to all these places, like Stonehenge and Ohio and New York, but there’s not very much time for sightseeing, so it doesn’t seem to matter much where they are. The chapters switch from Axel to Daisha to the Professor, so you get a different perspective on what’s happening each chapter, which keeps everything interesting. This is the first in a new series that I am excited to keep reading!
