Pumpkin Time!

The book is about a little girl who misses out on some fun and crazy things the animals are doing because she is too busy in her garden. She misses cows parading and pigs dancing.

I really like the pictures. I like the pictures more than the words. It was a little repetitive but maybe a younger kid would like that more. I like the pictures because there is some little surprise on almost every page. Like pictures in the clouds or the sheep putting ketchup on their grass sandwich. My favorite page is the cows parading down Main Street. There is a little mouse in the street with a look like, oh what are these cows doing in fancy hats? I also like when all the animals dress up for Halloween and I love that the turkey wears rain boots the whole book! The girl, Evy, shares her pumpkin pie with all the animals and I thought that was really nice.

There are recipes and facts at the end of the book. I love pumpkin pie and we eat pepitas all the time so it will be fun to make them myself. I learned about the biggest pumpkin pie ever made too!
