Kyle has a golden retriever named Rex. Kyle was excited because he got his math test one hundred percent complete. Rex was excited because Kyle was excited, but he didn’t know why Kyle was excited. Kyle ran to show his mother at the clinic for pets, but there, Rex saw a poodle and wanted to play with it, but the poodle thought Rex was going to attack him. They started barking at each other and knocked over a newspaper stand. When Kyle’s mother came in, she was mad and said if Rex didn’t behave the next time he came he would be banned from the clinic. Then Kyle decided he would start training Rex, so he asked his friend Mia to help him. They started doing that at their park, but they met another guy, named Drew, who said if his dog Lucky didn’t behave then his parents would get rid of him. They start to help him but Mia’s pet cat, Misty, was acting grumpier than ever.

I like the pictures because these pictures are colored. I like this book because we have a problem pup that’s just like Rex. I was glad Kyle could get Rex to behave at the end. I like reading about Kyle and his friends and their pets, and would like to read more of these books.
