Princess Pistachio and Maurice the Magnificent

We rated this book:

Princess Pistachio has a dog named Dog. He sleeps all day, so she needs to get him some excitement. In one chapter, she decides to take him to school and show him for Show and Tell. The teacher is not pleased. In another chapter, she sees a poster looking for a dog star for a show. Princess Pistachio is quite pleased and takes him there. He ends up in the show as the star.

I like this book because the dog ends up playing Sleeping Beauty, and that’s funny. I also like it when Dog is performing a show for dogs and it says “Poodles faint” because he’s so handsome. Princess Pistachio’s best friend, Madeline, gets jealous because all her friend is talking about is Dog. She gets mad, but in the end they become best friends again–all three of them. This book is good for little kids, but they might need other people to read it to them because it has some big words. It is a short chapter book with four chapters. If you like dogs and shows, you’ll like this book!
