Aurora is Sleeping Beauty’s daughter. After her mother’s death, her father, the king, married an ogre queen. Her brother was captured by the ogre queen. This prompts Aurora to dress as a boy and act as her brother. When Niklaas, the eleventh prince of another kingdom, accidentally finds Aurora disguised as a boy in search of her, she seizes the chance to find any army who can help her save her captured brother in the midst of falling in love with Niklaas.

I would give Princess of Thorns 3.5 stars. It was entertaining, to say the least. I thought it was an interesting take on Sleeping Beauty, even though there is nothing similar except the fact that her name is Aurora. It bothered me how delusional Niklaas was; it took him 226 pages to figure out Aurora was a girl! Other than that, it was a fun, light read.
