Posy the Puppy (Dr. KittyCat #1)
Posy the Puppy is about Dr. KittyCat and a little mouse named Peanut helping a dog named Posy. Posy the Puppy wants to try out to win a ribbon at the Paws and Prizes Field Trip. As she is practising, Posy gets stuck in a tunnel. Dr. KittyCat and Peanut bring the vanbulance to the field where Posy is. Posy says she has hurt her legs and can’t run. Dr. KittyCat and Peanut are trying to help Posy, but her legs don’t look swollen or hurt. She acts hurt, but there doesn’t look like anything is wrong with her legs. Will a nap be enough for Posy to recover in time to be in the race? Read this book to find out!
Posy the Puppy is a fun book for kids ages 5-8 who like small animals. I am 9, but I liked it anyway. It is a good choice for kids who like shorter chapter books, too. There is a small preview of the next book about a bunny in the back and some information about what Dr. Kitty keeps in her bag. I also really liked how the illustrations used photographs of real animals and drew other things in the picture.
