Jelli was a normal polar bear living at the zoo with her best friend PB. One day Jelli got sick, and she had to take special medicine to make her better. Even though the medicine made her feel better, it did something else to her; it turned her purple. At first Jelli didn’t want any of the zoo visitors to see her when she was purple. All of Jelli’s friends came to visit her in her cave, and they each told her that it doesn’t matter what color you are because you are still special, and you’re still you. Jelli decided she didn’t want to hide away any more, so she changed her attitude and decided it’s ok to be purple. All the zoo visitors agreed, and they loved Jelli, even if she was purple.

I think this story teaches the lesson that you should always be yourself and not try to be something else. Good friends will always help you and like you no matter what happens. Jelli showed courage when she decided not to hide anymore, and she showed that it’s ok to be different from everyone else as long as you love yourself.
