Poison’s Cage
Poison’s Cage is a gorgeously written, continuous story of Ilya and Marinda, the girls whose single kiss can kill a grown man—and they’ve killed many. The folklore and the story of visha kanyas was one that I know won’t leave me anytime soon. The first book was a bit slow for my taste, so I was a little scared going into the second book. I shouldn’t have feared because this story was much faster paced and filled with so much action and romance, with such a fulfilling ending that it left me wanting more. Poison’s Cage is a duology, meaning there are only two books that complete the entire story. I enjoyed everything about the book because it felt like I experienced a lot of things first-hand. The writing was simply beautiful in prose and imagery. Readers who like fantasy novels fully focused on world building and character development will enjoy this most. I know I did. The romance was also gorgeous and satisfying. If you haven’t already, check out both books and prepare to fall in love!
