What is a poem-mobile? After I read this book, I learned that a poem-mobile is a poem about a car. These poems make me laugh! This is a good book of poems because I love the High-Heel Car and the Love Car. I love them so much that I wish I had a High-Heel Car and also a Love Car. The illustrations are painted and they are very imaginative. A car does not have teeth or claws in real life but it is fun to look at the pictures. I bet you did not know that “The Sloppy-Floppy-Nonstop-Jalopy/Is so unique – there is no copy.”

Some of the poem-mobiles in this book are the Balloon Car, the Grass Taxi, and the Banana Split Car. My favorite lines about a poem-mobile are, “The Backwards Car/Goes in reverse/Both near and far./And what is worse,/The things you’ve seen/Are not ahead,/But where you’ve been/Thus far instead.” I want to write poems about cars. Kids who like cars and poetry will love this book. Reading about poem-mobiles made me feel energetic!
