Planet Earth Is Blue

Nova and Bridget are sisters, they have always done everything together. The girls are growing up in foster care because their mom is not able to take care of them. They were usually kept together in the foster homes but when Nova got to the age of twelve the girls were separated from each other. Nova is different from other girls her age, she is unable to talk, the only person who really understands her is Bridget. Bridget is always trying to take care of Nova, but because many people don’t understand Nova it is very hard. Bridget promises Nova that once she turns eighteen she will try to take custody of Nova so they will never be separated again. Will the sisters be reunited?

This story was very interesting, it was unlike many of the other books I’ve read. It was interesting because Nova is a unique character, and even though she can’t talk, there is still the special bond between her and Bridget. The relationship between the sisters is inspiring. The love between sisters can’t be broken even by space.
