Pickles and the P-Flock Bullies
Tickles (nicknamed Pickles) is an only Orca whale calf. She is lonely and decides to look for new friends. She finds a wonderful friend in Stitches, a seal. Together they play and laugh and become best friends! One day, Pickles and Stitches look for new friends. They come to a flock of seagulls and decide to be friends. However, the birds start making fun of Stitches. Pickles starts being mean too, because she really wants the new friends to like her. Once the birds start teasing Pickles, she realizes how hurt Stitches must be. Pickles finds Stitches and they apologize. They promise to be kind always.
I really loved this story! I liked the message of being kind to your friends. It is important to be nice to everyone, and don’t allow others to tease people. My most favorite part of this book was the illustrations! The drawings were very detailed. I thought they were soft and delicate. I found them to match the story’s descriptions and mood perfectly. I just know this book is going to win illustration awards!
