Phoebe and Her Unicorn in the Magic Storm

We rated this book:

Phoebe and her Unicorn in the Magic Storm is a book written by Dana Simpson. I thought there were a lot of funny parts in this book. There is a character named Voltina, and she eats lightning! I loved the illustrations of the lightning. Also, there’s a character named Dakota, and she creates her own vlogs. I love everything in this book. There is nothing that I didn’t like. Phoebe and Marigold have to figure out what to do about a scary storm that is causing lots of problems. Imagine their surprise when they discover the storm might be caused by magic! The thing I liked best about this book is that it is written in graphic-novel style. It is like reading a long and awesome comic book. Phoebe and Marigold have a detective agency, and they call it the Phoebegold Detective Agency. A quote from the book that I liked was, “Oh magic sparkles, now I sing / For you to show the hidden thing! / We wish to see what’s missing here / So make what’s now concealed appear!” Kids from five to thirteen who love magic and graphic novels would enjoy this book.
