Rose Pig is having a party on Sunday and asks Pete to bring the invitations to all their friends, in exchange for cake. Pete takes one note to Nell and one to Don. Then he sees his friends, puts the note for Gert in his pocket and forgets all about it. Rose prepares the party, with balloons, decorations and cake, and on Sunday all friends arrive, except Gert. Don and Nell go look for her, while Gert is walking around looking for her friends. When she gets to Rose’s home, she sees the party and thinks she was not invited. But Peter finds the note in his pocket and realizes what happened. He gets together with Don and Nell and they all head back to the party, where they finally find Gert.

Now everybody is there and they can all have a party and cake. Even Pete, who made a mistake.

I liked this book because it made me happy to see that Pete was able to fix his mistake. I was glad that Gert was not sad anymore, as she was when she thought she had not been invited. And I am glad that everyone forgave Pete for his mistake.
