Paper Monsters: Make Monster Collages!
Paper Monsters is a small book. There’s not much in it. The story is that the monsters are going somewhere. Read the book to find out where.
The book is actually about how to make monster collages. It comes with blank pages for putting your monster on and scrap paper. You are supposed to tear the scrap paper and glue it on the hard paper. There are cutout monsters. You slide your collages into the book to make your monster pictures. The author has his own monster collage pictures.
I like the book. I like making collage monsters. It’s lots of fun. The included paper doesn’t tear well. I prefer cutting paper with scissors. It looks like the author used scissors sometimes, too. I don’t care for the scrap paper. I prefer using paper out of magazines and newspapers and junk mail. I think drawing on it is a good idea. I made a dentist monster out of healthy food and toothpaste and stuff. Sliding a collage into the pockets worked like it should. Some monsters worked better with the collage than others.
This book could have been better. Maybe the story could be a little longer. More ideas and instructions would have been good, too.
