Pacha is really worried about the Earth and all the pollution she sees. She tries to tell the kids at school, but they just laugh at her and call her “Crazy Earth Girl.” One night, she dreams that she is up in a tree, and she sees a whale with something stuck in its spout. A hummingbird helps take it out; it turns out to be a plastic sack. Pacha watches the other animals who gather around and who seem not to like humans very much. Pacha is afraid to come down, but she puts on a gorilla mask and comes down to talk with them. They decide to have an Earth celebration with all the animals, and they want to name it for the god of Earth. Can Pacha and her new friends find a way to organize the party they want to?

This book was kind of exciting once you got into it, but I didn’t really like reading it. If you are really interested in about reading about the Earth and pollution and Pacha Jamma, the Earth goddess, then you will probably like it because there is information about this at the start of each chapter.
