P Is for Pterodactyl: The Worst Alphabet Book Ever
This is a silly alphabet book, because it will not teach kids the sounds letters make, like how “A is for Aisle.” This book teaches the exceptions in a fun way. The author has how to pronounce all the words and the definitions in the back. Some of the words are not common words, far from it, like bdellium and mnemonic. I like that the author put in different words. I like the text at the bottom of the pages. It has a lot of alliteration. I like the illustrations a lot. I think they are cute. The pictures have a lot of expression. When you read the description in the back, you will find out that some of the illustrations have hidden things in them that have something to do with the words. My favorite letters are “E” and “U” and “I” and “G.” I found them funny and amusing. The words are funny, and the pictures are cute. “I is not for Eye” would make a great poster. My favorite pictures are “K,” “X,” and “W.” I think this book would be funny for all ages.
