Our Solar System

I read Our Solar System by Seymour Simon. I think it is really cool and I think this would be good for kids my age who do not know about solar system yet. I am eight and I think lots of kids would like it. I think it is really cool because I get to learn about space and the solar system. The pictures were really good because they are really accurate. Most of them were really beautiful. They could have explained the earth atmosphere layers a little better with a picture or drawing.

My favorite part was the sun. Did you know that the sun could hold 1.3 million planet earths if it was hollow. It is also made out of gas and is a star, not a planet. The book is really cool because it told me that. I cannot believe how big the sun is. It is bigger than all the other planets in the solar system put together!

Do you know there are no Martians on mars? I wonder why? The pictures were taken by spacecraft that humans sent into space. One was the rover that landed on Mars. I hope that we get more pictures in the future.
