Otters: River or Sea? A Compare and Contrast Book

Otters: River or Sea? is about the cute and cuddly creatures that I have seen at the zoo. I noticed that the book read like a Who Would Win book that my brother reads a lot of, except in this book there is no fight at the end; in this book, each page tells something about the river otter and then the next page is about the sea otter. There were one or two facts about the otters that sounded like things my cats do; I love cats, so that made me like otters that much more, too!

The pages in this book had lots of pictures – some filling up the whole page. The pictures were clear and really showed what an otter looks like. The words on the pages are a little more than I’m used to in a storybook. I liked that there were activities in the back to help you remember what you just read but it also seemed like something I’d do or read in school. I was surprised at how many otters there are, and I enjoyed learning more about the river and sea otters!
